FEATURE I Treatment Room Report

Our Sports Rehab specialist Andy Henson gives us a round up from the treatment room including news on two long term injuries, and other knocks and niggles from the last few weeks.

“Chris Wademan suffered a knee injury playing in a tournament before the start of pre season. The injury was to his meniscus in his knee, and we’ve had a long wait between appointments with his GP, a knee specialist and then an MRI scan. Its an injury that can sometimes heal itself over time but sometimes require surgery. He has improved dramatically over the last few weeks and we are hoping to have him back in full training next week.
Matty Moses suffered a knee injury against city of Liverpool in the FA Cup. He damaged his Posterior Cruciate Ligament in his knee, which required him to be in a brace for a few weeks to help the ligament heal. He’s seen the consultant today and has been told that the ligament has healed, but also has damage to his meniscus in his knee. This will hopefully resolve over the next 4-5 weeks with rehab and get him back involved in around 6 weeks.
Reece Lyndon suffered a concussion against Northwich Victoria at the weekend and is still experiencing symptoms. There is a protocol for him to follow before he can return so there is no real timescale for his injury.
Luke Rhodes also suffered an injury at Northwich, injuring his right ankle. It doesn’t look too serious and he will hopefully be available again in a couple of weeks.”
